ZBENG
ZBENG is an Israeli comic series begun by Uri Fink about a decade ago.  It can best be summed up as an Israeli version of ARCHIE comics.  This series depicting the fun and wacky adventures of a group of teens has been fairly successful and recently was adapted into a live action show for Israeli television.  I first met Uri when he lived in SF in 1994-95 and we had always wanted to work together on a comic story, so in early '99 a collaboration was agreed upon.  I penciled and inked a story by Uri to be released in the summer of '99 in Israel.  The finished work was transmitted overseas, where it was colored, given word balloons and published.  I worked from Uri's layouts of the whole story, which was a James Bond type parody involving some of his characters.  It was interesting drawing a story I still cannot read due to it's being in Hebrew.  In fact my name is the only English word listed in the whole book.  In this section the inked/published page will be shown with a few samples of layout/penciled pages.
